episode 23- like mike

Welcome back!!  Sorry we've been out of commission and inconsistent.  I think we've now settled on the idea that we'll try to push one out ever month.  It seems more realistic anyhow!!  It's not easy trying to listen and then pull everything you've heard together.

We have heard some very good things lately, and as it's episode #23, we wanted to focus on the best of Mike.  A healthy balance of jams and straight forward bluegrass, all starting with one of the first awe-inspiring "Mike's-->Groove."  It's direct and incedibly tight!  I also took it upon myself to throw in the YEM at the end of this episode, and I want to encourage you to listen through the vocal jam, as it's very well done.

Please let us know your thoughts and what you might like to hear in the future.  Hope to get back to you in mid-April.  Until then, enjoy the mild end to winter and March...out like a lamb. Subscribe to our feed on itunes and facebook us!!

Episode 22sday

Hi All,
Sorry for the delay.  We've had a busy start to this school year and have failed to make good on our hopes to publish an episode every other week.  Maybe this will make our lists of NYE resolutions but don't hold your breath.  We're using chapters again, so you can skip through the tunes as you like.  Wishing all a happy holiday season!  If you have any trouble with the link on here, just download the episode from itunes.

episode 21- blowin' it up to the bunny

as Super Bal IX came to fruition, clew and i wanted to pay tribute to one of our favorite memories from past festivals: the bunny. more specifically, 'from the archives' and k. shapiro. since starting this hobby last june, we have called upon shapiro's help again and again. he puts the hop in our bunny. i
mmitation is the greatest form of fl
attery, and on our first anniversary we want to blow it up to the bunny with thanks and praise.

by chance, this episode almost follows chronological order. we want to give you our favorite flavors 'from the archives' and hopefully you'll let us know what you think. i ended up hearing the reba yesterday and couldn't resist including. although it's the first live reba, it's outstanding. most importantly though, it's imperfect. there are some problems at different points, for sure. it seems even in the '90s there were flubs...

facebook us friends! leave us some comments! blow us up! as always, our thanks and appreciation for your tuning in, turning on and dropping out.

episode 20- good signs, bad signs

Download this episode (right click and save)

With the first leg of Summer 2011 now just behind us, it was clear that one of the problems was people having trouble seeing clearly at the start of sets and between songs. A special thanks to all of you holding signs. 'Signs, signs, everywhere there's signs.' If you don't know what we're talking about, please check out this vid.

Clew and I wanted to put together a quick best of leg I. Here' you'll find some fun playing and some technical, heady jams. All in all, we were impressed. They've reinvented their sound again, and we like it. We hope you do as well. Please leave us a comment to let us know what you think and check us out over on facebook. If this is what we've got so far in 2011, we're confident that the Super Ball and leg 2 will be that much more! Happy listening!!!

episode 19- saratoga on my mind

Download this episode (right click and save)

Happy summer tour to all you folks! And although SPAC was left off the list because of their scrutiny over the party scene (listen to the Makisupa from 6/20/2010), I wanted to revisit the many trips I've made out to Saratoga to see phish and more importantly, my family in the area. It's not been easy times for them lately, and I want to make sure they know how much I've been thinking about them and sending all the hope out I can. Patrick, Michelle and Brian we love you all in so many ways. I'm forever grateful and thankful that our lives have crossed paths time and time again.

On weekends when phish was in town, their house served as a home base to many, and they are always the most gracious hosts!

One of my favorite stories about this dear friend involved him riding his motorcycle past all the traffic into Woodstock. Rest assured, I'm fortunate for all the time we've shared. I look forward to seeing you soon. You all have my greatest appreciation, love and hope. We're here for you when you need us.

Look for us on facebook peeps! One love.

episode 18 - easter egg hunt #1

Download this episode (right click and save)

welcome back ya'll - the weather continues to warm here in new england and it is easter season - which brings us to our very first phish easter egg hunt. in the tech industry, an "easter egg" is a hidden message or feature embedded in an app or program. well just like the programmers at google, phish has been hiding easter eggs inside of tunes for their phans to discover since their very beginnings. this week we bring you our very first easter egg hunt by providing a few of the great jams within jams. a few of these selections have more than one tease that we could find (and we are sure that you will find even more!) so sit back, crank up the volume and see what you unearth inside each of these tunes. we hope to make this a regular feature of rebadipaldle (as there are plenty more cadbury jams out there to be dissected.) use the comments section on the blog or on facebook to let us know what you find!

if you know someone who you think might like to share in the groove - be sure to share the podcast with them.

episode 17 - spring chicken

Download this episode (right click and save)

spring has sprung and as new-englanders we are fired up about the change of season. spring break has finally arrived and that means that warm weather and a more relaxed pace are imminent. it has been a long, cold winter here on the east coast and we are excited about the fact that it is time to set the clocks forward this weekend. we thought we would take this opportunity to celebrate the increase in sunlight by sharing some sun-filled jams with you. spring represents hope, growth and rebirth. as we look forward to the days growing longer and the temperature continuing to rise, we thought we would take a moment to pause and appreciate the moment before things come into full bloom. the snow is melting, jfarns is vegas bound, spring ski season is under way and we have some savory tunes to get you going. the summer tour will be here before we know it - - until then, we hope you enjoy these nugs! hope springs eternal...
